12/92 Red Lion Inn


Inn C18 (incorporating earlier fabric) enlarged early C19. Rubble, stone dressings,
slate roof hipped to east wing, ashlar stack to left gable, 2 brick ridge stacks.

Front: 2 storeys, 4 windows and projecting east bay, altered openings to ground
floor. Small projecting porch has 6-panel door with raised alternating jambs.
16-pane sash, probably re-set, to right. 1st floor 3 12-pane sashes under wedge
lintels with triple keystones, and 16-pane sash in copied similar opening. East
bay has 16-pane sashes in raised surrounds. 5-step mounting block to left of
porch. Irregular 3-bay right return with similar fenestration and elliptical
carriage arch, to right.
