6/106 Power House to north-east of
Newbrough Hall (formerly
15.4.69 listed as Gardener's Cottage
N of Newbrough Hall.)

Formerly electricity generating house, now cottage. 1902 by Deas. Irregular
dressed stone, slate roof. Square plan with ogival pyramid roof, with unusual
finial inspired by contemporary generating apparatus. Semi-octagonal turret with
projecting upper stage and swept pyramidal roof attached to entrance front. The
other 3 sides have gabled dormers breaking the eaves and twin casements to the
ground floor.
