5/15 Dunterley Farmhouse
Cottage and wall adjoining

GV II

Farmhouse and attached cottage. Early C19 but possibly older core. Coursed
stone and random rubble. Lakeland and Welsh slate roofs. 2 storeys. House
3 bays; cottage 2 bays. House has central-staircase plan. Gabled porch with
kneelers, hollow-chamfered door frame and 6-panelled door with geometric
overlight. Flanking canted bay windows, on ground floor only, have similar
hollow-chamfered reveals and stone slate roofs. Centre lights are 12-pane
sashes, side lights 8-pane. Similar surrounds to 12-pane sashes above.

Lower cottage attached to right has more irregular fenestration. Ground floor
has one small C20 sash and a 20-pane sash. 1st floor has 2 small 9-pane sashes.
Attached to left of house a stretch of walling probably to former byre. Rear
of house has 16-pane sashes. Gabled roof with flat coping, kneelers and stone
corniced gable stacks.
