GV II

Church. 1906. By Hicks and Charlewood. Ashlar with stone slate roof. Nave
with bell turret, chancel, north porch and north and south vestries. Decorated
style. 3-bay nave with square-headed, 2-light windows under hoodmoulds. North
porch has angle buttresses, door with continuous moulding under hoodmould and
shield in square recess above. Angle buttresses to west end and 2-light
reticulated window set in broad shallow projection which rises to support
octagonal, castellated bell turret with cusped ogee-headed openings. 2-bay
chancel with similar windows and arched, 3-light reticulated east window. Tall
octagonal chimney to south vestry. Foliated cross finials to east gable and
nave east gable.

Interior has panelled wood ceilings with bosses; and friezes with inscriptions
carved in relief. Good font cover; and pulpit with carving in Arts and Crafts
style. Reredos in similar style.
