NY 88 SE BIRTLEY LOWSHIELD GREEN

5/23 Lowshield Green Farmhouse
and stable

GV II

Farmhouse and attached stable. Late C18 or early C19. Dressed stone,
Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with lower 3-bay garage and stable to
right. L-shaped with second span in angle of L. Door of six flush panels
with overlight in slightly-chamfered surround. 12-pane sashes in plain reveals
and projecting sills.

Attached wing to right has late C20 garage door on left and plank door in
alternating-block surround on right. ½ slatted window between and 6-pane sash
above.

Rear has irregular fenestration with 12-pane and 4-pane sashes, also one C20
casement.

Gabled roof with stone corniced ridge and end stacks.
