20/32 Garden Cottage with
adjacent outbuilding
to east

GV II

House, early C18 with early C19 outbuilding and rear outshut. Coursed roughly-
squared stone with roughly-cut quoins and tooled lintels; stone slate roof,
except for Welsh slates on outshut. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central 4-panel door in
chamfered block surround, behind C20 wooden porch. Flanking 12-pane windows.
Sundial dated 1793 above door. 6-pane sash windows to 1st floor. Coped gables
with moulded kneelers; stepped end stacks with moulded cornices. Lower 1-bay
outbuilding to right has central half-glazed door flanked by renewed 12-pane
sashes. Rear elevation 3 boarded doors in chamfered alternating-block surrounds,
with 6-pane sashes to right and left, the latter with old bars.

Interior largely original: panelled shutters, 2-panel doors with L hinges,
closed-string dog-leg stair (partly boxed-in) with splat balusters.
