Stable block, c.1800. Stone; pebbledashed front with raised quoins and dressings,
rear rubble with cut dressings; Lakeland slate roof. Single-storey ranges
around yard open to south.

North range 3 wide bays: slightly-projecting pedimented centre is coachhouse
with pair of 3-centred arches and 12-pane fixed window under round arch in
pediment; clock tower on ridge behind has set-back 2nd stage with Tuscan columns
flanking clock face, and entabLature; octagonal cupola above with turned wooden
columns carrying lead dome with weathervane. Left bay has flush-panelled double
doors with 3-pane overlight and 12-pane sash window; right bay has boarded door
with 3-pane overlight and 12-pane casement.

Each side range has blocked 3-centred arch with inserted 12-pane sash window,
in south end; towards yard east range has flush-panelled double doors under
3-pane overlight, renewed 12-pane sash window and C20 sliding doors; west range
has vertical-panelled and boarded double doors, each with 3-pane overlight,
with 12-pane sash window between. Hipped roofs.

Interior: coachhouse has broad central pier with round-headed arch.
