Shop and attached
cottage to rear


Shops with living accomodation above and to rear, C18 altered C19. Rubble
with cut dressings, shop fronts wood; Welsh slate roof, some brick stacks.
Front 2 storeys, 4 bays, irregular. Bay 2 half-glazed door in alternating-
block surround with narrow chamfer. Flanking shop fronts (to left double. to
right triple with former centre door) have colonettes, moulded capitals and
nailhead cornice on consoles. Renewed 12-pane sashes with tooled lintels. Right end
old brick stack, left end stone stack heightened in yellow brick. Left
return shows 12-pane fixed window, with renewed 12-pane sash under timber
lintel above.

Attached cottage to rear left 16 storeys, 1 bay. Renewed door on right in tooled
irregular-block surround with stop-chamfered lintel; 16-pane sash window with
tooled lintel forming sill of small 16-pane Yorkshire sash beneath eaves. Left
end stack heightened in brick.
