GV II

Pair of houses. Mid C19 incorporating earlier fabric. Rubble with tooled ashlar
front and dressings; Lakeland slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, irregular. Central
bay has 2 doors with 12-pane sash above that to right; end bays have similar
windows with doors close to end walls; all doors C20 and glazed, with older 3-
pane overlights. Boldly-projecting moulded eaves cornice. Coped gables.
Stepped-and-corniced end and 1 ridge stacks, with broad panelled shafts. Left
return shows earlier rubble masonry; right return shows central 12-pane attic
sash under chamfered pointed arch.

Later wings to rear not of interest.
