GV II

Terrace wall, c.1840 by John Dobson. Tooled-and-margined stone with ashlar
dressings and cast-iron railings. Main terrace wall fronting house 10 bays,
with projecting 3-bay parts at each end; tapering pilaster buttresses carried up
above parapet as square piers with chamfered caps; railings with ball-topped
standards between piers; gadrooned urns on end piers. To right lower wall with
chamfered coping, sloped alongside adjacent steps, ending in another projecting
3-bay part which has losts its railings.
