House, dated '1838' with initials 'C.B.' on front door lintel. Ashlar front,
rubble sides and rear, slate roof, corniced stone gable stacks. 2 storeys,
3 bays, symmetrical/ Central 6-panel door with overlight has raised surround
and cornice, under later glazed porch. 16-pane sashes with slightly projecting
sills. Lower block slightly set back to right 2 storeys, 1 bay, C20 ground
floor window and renewed sash above. Said to have been built as mine manager's
house.
