21/84 Burnfoot Farmhouse and
attached barn to south-
west
GV II

House dated ANNO DOMI 1678 with initials W.D. on lintel, remodelled late C18;
barn early C19. Rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof, rebuilt gable
stacks. House 2 storeys, 3 windows. Central C20 door in chamfered surround
with dated lintel; 16-pane sashes in beaded boxes. Barn to left has slit vents
and loading door with C20 openings below. Left return with alighting ledge
and pigeon or owl hole in gable. Rear shows some 16-pane sashes, other windows
renewed in old openings. Gabled rear wing: C20 doorway in late C17 chamfered
surround in right return; outshut to left. Interior has curved early C19 stair.
