14/238 Corryhill Farmhouse

House, late C17 remodelled 1728 (date with initials WRD on lintel), extended
C19. Rubble with cut quoins and dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4
narrow bays. Single-storey C19 projecting south wing. To right of wing 2
late C19 sashes in C18 tooled stone surrounds. On 1st floor a narrow blocked
window, a C20 window and a fixed 12-pane casement, all in chamfered surrounds.
Coped gables with heavy moulded kneelers; stone stack on left gable. Rear
elevation shows traces of removed outshut, a blocked 2-light mullioned window
to right and a narrow window in a chamfered surround above; to far right late
C19 sashes on both floors, the lower re-using a C17 moulded doorhead as its
sill. Interior: C18 fireplace; original front door with stone surround now
opens into south wing.

C19 barn/byre to right is not of interest.
