22/54 The Riding


House, mid-C18 extended to rear early C19. Squared stone with cut quoins
and tooled dressings; slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, slightly irregular.
Right-of-centre renewed door in architrave with moulded hood on scrolled
consoles. 12-pane sashes with wedge lintels and slightly-projecting sills.
Coped gabled with moulded kneelers, stepped stone end stacks. To right
1-storey 1-bay extension, probably late C18, has part-slatted window with
external bars, and coped gable with moulded kneelers to right.
