Schoolhouse.

GV II

Schoolmaster's house, probably original school. 1803 (dated slab re-set
on north) altered mid-C19. Rubble,rendered, with tooled quoins and
dressings; slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Right-of-centre half-glazed
door in alternating-block surround, flanked by 16-pane sashes, the left
renewed; late C19 4-pane sashes above; all windows with tooled lintels
and sills. Coped gables with moulded kneelers, stepped and corniced
end stacks. Left return shows blocked door with renewed 12-pane sash
and sunk panel above, probably the original location of the re-set date
slab, with scallop shell and defaced inscription, in right return.
