II

House and yard walls, c.1840. Snecked squared rubble with dressings. Welsh
slate roof and stone chimneys. 2-storey, 3-bay main block with lower 2-storey,
2-bay section on right and yard walls on left. Main block: 6-panel door and
6-pane overlight in central gabled stone porch; mainly 16-pane sashes in raised
tooled-and-margined surrounds; roof has coped gables and end stacks with moulded
top bands. Section at right has two 16-pane sashes on ground floor and small
C20 casement above; roof with identical right end stack. Single-storey, lean-to
on left return has casement in raised surround. Tall, flat-coped embattled
walls enclosing 3 sides of yard: stepped-up corner at left with flush quoins;
Tudor-arched doorway with alternating jambs on front wall. Addition on right
return of 2-bay section is not of special interest.
