House. Early C18 with later C18 and C19 alterations and additions. Coursed
rubble with dressings. Front range has graduated green slate roof; stair wing
and additions have purple slate roofs. Dressed stone chimneys. T-plan main
block (front range and stair wing) with C19 additions on right return and rear
of stair wing. 2-storey, 3-bay garden front: low plinth and squared quoins;
central doorway in architrave with frieze and pediment; replaced sashes in
raised surrounds above and to right of doorway; projecting C19 2-storey
rectangular-plan bay at left with sashes in 2-light mullioned windows; roof has
coped gables, shaped kneelers and end stacks. Blocked original single-light
and mullioned 2-light windows on first floor of right return. 2-storey gabled
stair wing on centre rear of front range. Wide 2-storey canted bay with sashes
and hipped roof added on right return of stair wing. 2-storey, T-plan service
wing, added on rear of stair wing, has mainly replaced sashes and pitched roofs
with ridge stacks. Interior greatly altered in late C19.

This building should not be confused with Park End (Item 4/116) or with Low
Park End.
