Headstone. 1783 to Matthew Dodd. Sandstone. 1.5 metres tall. Scrolled top
and raised moulded border. Small reliefs: central angel head and wings;
sickle and cross-bones to right; serpent devouring tail and book inscribed:
LIFE'S BUT A SPAN to left. Poetic inscription:
GRIEVE NOT FOR ME, MY GLASS IS RUN
IT IS THE LORD, HIS WILL BE DONE
WHEN CHRIST APPEARS THEN SHALL I RISE
TO JOYS IMMORTAL IN THE SKIES.
