House. Early C18 with later C18 and C19 additions. Coursed
squared rubble with pantile roof. Ashlar dressings, coped gable
with kneelers, 2 gable, 2 rear wall and single ridge stacks.
Double-depth front range with long rear wing, brick and coursed
rubble with pantile roof, L-plan. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Irregular
facade has moulded timber doorcase with scrolled brackets to
hood, containing half glazed door. To its left, late C19 2
storey canted bay window, ashlar with plain tile roof, containing
3 mullioned and transomed glazing bar casements. To right, 2
glazing bar sashes with intermediate round headed fixed light.
Above, to left, 3 mullioned and transomed glazing bar casements,
and to right, one small and 2 larger glazing bar sashes. Right
gable has irregular fenestration including C19 bay window and
oriel, and 2 fixed lights in splayed ashlar reveals. Rear stair
well, 2 storeys, single bay, has coped gable with kneelers and
circular window with ashlar surround. Rear wing has 2 storey
projecting bay containing doorway with Gibbs surround, and above,
circular window with ashlar surround, coped gable with kneelers,
and elaborate wind vane.
