G.V.
II

Lych gate. 1913-1916. Designed by Mr. McIntyre and Louis
Ambler. Ashlar and iron. Slate roof. Stone coped gables and
kneelers. Archway, set in a recessed panel, with 2 engaged
columns with cushion capitals either side, and cable moulded
imposts. These support an inner moulded arch of chevron, an arch
of bobbin and an outer arch of nailhead. There is a double
decorative iron gate. The rear/south side corresponds to the
north, however the archway does not have a band of bobbin
moulding and there is no gate. Both the east and west walls have
2 small arched openings. Included for group value only.
