Manor house. Now 2 cottages. Early C17 with additions mid C18
and C20. Timber framed with brick nogging and cladding and
brick. Plain tile roofs. Partial rubble plinth, dentillated
eaves, single coped gable with kneelers. 3 ridge and single C20
external gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 9 unequal bays.
Single range with cross passage. Windows are mostly C19
casements and Yorkshire sashes. South east side has to left, 3
casements. To their right, lean-to addition in return angle,
with a casement. To right again, early C19 door with hood and
overlight. To its right, 4 casements of various sizes. Above, 3
off-centre Yorkshire sashes flanked by 3 irregularly spaced
casements. North west side has to left, C20 door flanked by
single casements. To their right, lean-to brick porch with
pantile roof and dentillated eaves, with door. Casement in
return angle. To its right, casement with segmental head and C20
door with C19 pedimented hood. Beyond, C20 addition has casement
and door with flanking light. Above, to left, 3 casements. To
their right, Yorkshire sash with segmental head. To right again,
a casement. To its right, a casement and a Yorkshire sash, both
with segmental heads. North east gable has close boarded door
flanked to left by 2 and to right by single casements. Above, 2
casements on each floor. Central section interior has 4 C17 bay
posts, 3 of them jowled. One has 2 struts. Substantial remains
of external stud wall with intermediate rail. 2 complete
internal stud walls and remains of a third. 2 chamfered span
beams with stops. North east end has 4 C18 bay posts clamped to
principal rafters. Chamfered span beams. Principal rafter roof
with butt purlins. 2 C19 winder stairs, one with stick
balusters, the other with a square newel. 2 framed 8 panel
doors, C17 and C18. 5 early C19 plank doors.
