Public house. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Red brick, painted
white. Slate roof. 2 red brick gable stacks. Dentil eaves.
Set on a plinth. Two and a half storeys, 4 bays. Doorway with
arched C20 part glazed and plank door, flanked by single arched
marginal lights with plank panelling under, the whole forming a
round arch. Architrave with keyblocks. Over is a C20 gabled,
plain tile hood. To the left are 2 sashes under segmental arches
with flush wedge brick lintels, to the right is a single similar
sash under segmental arch with similar lintel, flanked by single
smaller sashes. Above are 4 sashes, the second from the right
being lower, all under segmental arches with flush wedge brick
lintels. Above are 4 small sashes. To the right is a later
painted brick 2 storey, single bay wing with hipped pantile roof
and dogtooth eaves. Set on a plinth. Single sash under
segmental arch with flush wedge brick lintel. Single small sash
above. All sashes have boxed frames. To the rear are various 2
and single storey wings.
