Gateway. 1893. Designed by Watson Fothergill for Mr. Marshall.
Iron and ashlar. Decorative iron double gate, flanked by single
ashlar gate piers, the central section of each pier having
chamfered corners. Set on to plinths with pyramidal shaped
coping decorated with chevron and a single trefoil on each side
topped with single small holders for copper lamps. Either side
are single decorative iron panels extending for 3 metres and
terminating in fluted iron piers with octagonal coping topped
with single small orb. Gates and panels slope upwards towards
piers. Included for group value only.
