10/50 Boundary Wall

G.V. II

Boundary wall, late C18. Coursed blue lias rubble with brick and ashlar
dressings, projecting drip and rubble coping. Approx. 2M high, extending
approx. 25M along north side of Westfield Lane and approx. 400M along west
side of Low Street to a point opposite The Chestnuts. Incorporates, to south,
4 triangular headed gabled rustic openings with rustic work gates; to north,
C19 gateway, brick with chamfered arched opening containing close-boarded door.
Beyond, C19 gateway, brick with central pointed arched opening containing close
boarded door, in ashlar coped pedimented recess, flanked by square brick piers
with pyramidal ashlar caps. Included for group value only.
