8/46 Garage at Staunton Hall

G.V. II

Garage, formerly cottage. Dated 1655. Ashlar with tiled roof and tiled
coping, kneeler to the west gable, with ashlar eaves band. Set on a plinth.
Single storey, 3 bays. Central arched, blocked, doorway with hood mould and
label stops. Above is a carved plaque decorated with a shield and dated
1655. Either side of the doorway is a single stone mullioned, flat headed,
window with hood mould and label stops, with plaque above engraved with 2
blank shields and blind cusping. Other facades altered. To the west is a
single bay, rendered, extension, with pantile roof.
