4/25 Pigeoncote and
stable at Yew
Tree Farm

Pigeoncote and adjoining stable. c.1798. Brick with pantile
roofs. Dentillated eaves, stepped coped gables with kneelers,
single and 2 storeys, 3 bays. Pigeoncote has to east central
stable door with segmental head and overlight. To left, a
slatted casement. Above, central square opening with 4 tiers of
pigeonholes. South gable has, above, remains of square opening.
Stable, to south, has balanced facade with 2 stable doors with
flanking slatted openings and timber lintels. Later C19 stable
has to left, slatted casement and to right, stable door with
timber lintel. Adjoining late C19 stable is not included in this
listing. Included for group value only.
