4/88 The Old Hall

G.V. II

Farmhouse. Late C18. Brick, partly rendered, with C20 pantile
roof. Rendered plinth, first floor band, dentillated eaves,
coped gables with kneelers. 3 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus
garrets, 3 bays. L-plan. Windows are plain sashes with
segmental heads, and C20 casements. Main east front has central
C19 gabled porch, timber framed with brick plinth and patterned
tile roof. C18 door with overlight. Flanked by single sashes.
Above, 3 similar sashes and County Fire Insurance plaque. South
gable has single Yorkshire sash to garret. North gable has C20
casement to garret. Rear wing has to north, a Yorkshire sash
with segmental head, flanked by single doors. Elsewhere, C20
fenestration. Included for group value only.
