Public house, now house. Early C18, extended late C18/early C19 and C20.
Colourwashed limestone rubble and brick; thatch roof with brick gable stacks.
2-unit plan, enlarged to 3 units with C20 extension. One storey plus attic.
Symmetrical 2-window front of earliest rubble range has a central door between
2-light casements, and has 2-light dormers. Stacks flank roof. Later brick bay,
set back to left, has a further door and small casements. C20 bay to extreme
left has a tiled roof. Interior not inspected. Formerly the Marlake House public
house.
