Listing Text

7/61 Lower Green Farmhouse
Farmhouse. Early/mid C18. Brick in garden-wall bond and limestone rubble with
ashlar and brick dressings; old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. 2-unit
plan with secondary range. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window brick front, with
dentil eaves course, has a central doorway with a C19 tiled canopy below a
2-light casement, and has 3-light casements in the outer bays, all with
segmental arches and leaded glazing. Lower rubble range to right has a
half-hipped roof continuing over a front outshut. Left end wall and rear of main
range are in rubble with further built-arched windows to rear (some blocked).
Rear of lower range is in brick. Interior not inspected.
