Farmhouse, now house. Early C18. Coursed squared limestone rubble;
Stonesfield-slate roof with rubble gable stacks. Central-stair plan. 2 storeys
plus attic. Symmetrical 5-window front has 12-pane sashes at first floor, but at
ground floor has only one window either side of the central door, both now
reduced in width and containing 4-pane horned sashes; all have flat arches. Both
gable walls have chimney projections, that to right larger and partly obscured
by a service bay, probably contemporary but raised to 2 storeys in C19. Rear
retains one old chamfered window frame and has roof dormers. Interior: dogleg
stair with winders, rising from lobby to attics; chamfered beams; large blocked
fireplaces; butt-purlin roof.
