Description

ODDINGTON
SP51SE
7/134 Rectory Farmhouse
- II
Farmhouse, now house. Early C18. Limestone rubble; concrete plain-tile roof with
brick gable stacks. 2-unit plan with rear wings. 2 storeys plus attic. 3-window
front had renewed cross windows at first floor: the middle and right window
closer together and with stone flat arches; the left window with a wooden
lintel. A C20 timber sun lounge obscures most of the ground floor but there is a
tripartite sash in the left bay. Low rear wings with casements and dormers flank
a taller hipped-roofed central rear projection, probably a stair tower, which
contains the present entrance and an old cross window. Interior not inspected.
