Public house. Late C17/early C18 with C20 alterations. Squared coursed
limestone. Steeply pitched slate roof. Brick end stacks. T-plan. 2 storeys.
5-window range. Blocked entrance off-centre to left has wood lintel. C19 porch
on right, Ground floor has 7 blocked windows with woodd lintels, a canted bay
window and a C20 2-light casement windows and 2 blocked openings all with wood
lintels. Moulded wooden eaves. Cornice. Limestone quoins. The Whitmore Arms was
named after Thomas Whitnore who lived at Hethe House from 1808-1811 (VCH).
Interior has chamfered beams.
