House. Late C18 with C19 additions, Coursed limestone rubble. Hipped slate
roof. Brick end stacks. Double-depth plan, 3 storeys. 5-window range. Central
entrance has 6-panelled door, moulded wood frame with console brackets and
overlight with geometrically patterned glazing bars. Entrance is flanked by
12-pane and 16-pane sash windows with stucco surrounds linked between the
storeys. First and second floors each have 5 sash windows with glazing bars.
Unhorned sashes throughout. Garden front to rear noted. as having 2 storey,
3-window range; central double-leaved panelled-glazed door, overlight within
doorcase with shallow brackets and cornice; the overlight has an elaborate fan
pattern of glazing. Tripartite sashes flank door, those to ground floor are
8-pane, to first floor 20-pane; central 12-pane sash; all windows with stucco
surrounds linked between the storeys; all sashes unhorned; brick lateral stack
to centre left. Said to have been the Dower House of Shelswell Park in the C18.
