Early C18 building, comprising three dwellings.Built of coursed squared marlstone with larger stone quoins. Single entrance to the front (for No. 2); entrances to 1 and 3 probably at the side or rear. Windows denote the three units; ground floor has cross-windows and there are casements at first floor level, all overlain by straight wooden lintels. The gable end of No. 1 is clearly visible but the other end is obstructed by the addition of a modern house. Brick chimney stacks top the gables and a stack just left of centre through the ridge for the middle cottage. Steep-pitched thatched roof.

Interiors not inspected.

Summary of Importance: Of special interest as a good example of the local vernacular and amended to include the addresses of 1, 2 and 3 (Strawtop Cottage).
