Adderbury West
6/19 Bradscot and Post Office

2 small houses, probably originally one house. Late C17/early C18. Coursed
squared marlstone with wooden lintels; concrete plain-tile roof with rebuilt
brick stacks. 3-unit plan, subdivided. 2 storeys. 3-window front has old
casement windows of 2, 3 and 3 lights at first floor, and has 3 of 3 lights at
ground floor, the right ground-floor window below the chamfered lintel of a much
wider opening. Entrances are between the bays, that to Post Office Cottage (to
left) probably earlier with a cambered lintel. Steep-pitched roof has 2 stacks
rising from the ridge and a third to right. Interior not inspected. Included for
group value.
