2 barns. Probably mid/late C17 and c.1700. Coursed squared marlstone; thatched
roof. 4-bay and 3-bay plans in a single range with linked roofs forming a yard.
entry. Earlier larger barn has full-height double doors, and has a smaller
Tudor-arched stone doorway to rear. Smaller barn has the double doors on the
opposite face and has a wooden lintel over the small rear door. Vents are mostly
square, but smaller barn has some short chamfered slits, and both have long
slits in the gable wall; both gables have parapets with projecting moulded
kneelers. Interior: principal rafters are crossed at the apex and support ridge
beams plus through purlins. An unusually long barn range.
