Sydenham House

Icehouse. Probably C18. Coursed squared marlstone. An arched entrance in one
side of the earth mound is half below ground level and is approached down a
flight of stone steps. interior: a barrel-vaulted tunnel leads to an egg-shaped
vaulted chamber constructed entirely of stone. The icehouse stands within the
grounds of Adderbury House (q.v.).
