6/73 Horn Hill Cottage

GV II
House. Probably early/mid C18 altered late C19/early C20. Coursed squared
marlstone with wooden lintels and some ashlar; Welsh-slate roof with
stone-and-brick end stacks. 2-unit plan extended to rear. 2 storeys plus attic.
3-window front has a large ashlar porch, with a moulded parapet and gable
finial, between enlarged 3-light casements, all probably dating from c.1900; at
first floor are 2 earlier 3-light casements and a small window to left of
centre. Steep-pitched roof has two C20 roof dormers, and the left stack has a
stone plinth. Left gable has a small window with lattice glazing. C20 extension
returns from left. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
