1/92 Lock-keeper's Cottage at
King's Sutton Lock

GV II
Lock-keeper's cottage. Late C18. Coursed squared marlstone with ashlar
dressings; brick in Flemish bond; Welsh-slate roof with brick gable stacks.
2-unit plan plus rear outshut. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front has a
central doorway below a blind window and has 2-light small-pane casements in the
outer bays; all openings have projecting keyblocks, the lower blocks linked to
an ashlar storeyband. Left side and rear are in brick. Interior not inspected.
Forms a close group with King's Sutton Lock (q.v.), the bridge (q.v.) and a
canal building (q.v.).
