SP4631 DEDDINGTON NEW STREET
House. Probably C18 incorporating C16/C17 elements. Coursed squared marlstone
with wooden lintels; concrete plain-tile roof with brick end stacks.
Central-stair plan. 2 storeys. 2-window front has renewed 2-light casements,
taller at ground floor, and has a central doorway; left half retains a chamfered
plinth. Steep-pitched roof. Interior: left hall has extremely thick walls with
an internal batter, and may have formed a service bay to Plough House (q.v.),
formerly the Plough Inn, which dates from C15. Included for group value.
