8/242 Nos. 14, 15 and 16

Row of 3 cottages. Early C18. Coursed squared marlstone with some ashlar
dressings and some wooden lintels; Stonesfield-slate and concrete plain-tile
roof with brick stacks. Single-unit and 2-unit plans in one range. 2 storeys
plus attic. Irregular 4-window front has the larger cottage in the centre with
four 2-light casements; No.16, to left, has a renewed 3-light casement at each
floor, and No.14 has a renewed 3-light casement at first floor but a 2-light
casement below. The last window plus the entrances to Nos. 14 and 16 have ashlar
flat arches. Steep-pitched roof has gabled roof dormers to Nos. 14 and 16, and
has 4 stacks. Interiors not inspected. Possibly an early conversion from a
single dwelling.
