Two cottages, now house. Probably C16. Regular coursed rubble
ironstone on the left third of the elevation divided from the random
rubble ironstone on the right by ironstone quoins; thatched roof. 3
brick stacks at gable ends and on ridge above line of quoins. Stone coping
on left gable. 3-unit plan. Single storey plus attic; 3-window range.
Two-centered arched doorway on left has hood mould and stops. Plank door.
Ground floor has a 2-light casement to left of door, a C20 window and 2-
light casement on right. 2-light swept attic casements. Central casement has
lead cames and crown glass. Rear elevation: mainly 2-light casements some
with crown glass. Ground floor has bay window with hipped slate roof on left
end with cellar under. Central window has heavy wood frame under flat arch
with keystone and casements opening inwards. Interior: Kitchen, hall and
parlour. Kitchen has large bread oven in left end. Hall has stop-chamfered
beam and chamfered joists; fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Parlour has
stop-chamfered beam. Straight flight with windows to left of rear entrance.
Roof has through purlins, rafters pegged at apex and collars.
