House. C17 or earlier. Previously single-cell cottage with barn attached on
left, which is present kitchen. Cottage: uncoursed ironstone rubble with
thatched roof. Brick end stack on left gable has stone base. Single-unit
plan. Single storey plus attic. Blocked doorway on right has wooden lintel.
Two 3-light casements in attic. Single-unit, single storey kitchen range on
left. Entrance on right: 4-panelled door has wood framed surround and
lintel. Window to left of door has wooden lintel. Interior: Stop-chamfered
beam in cottage. Wooden winder to attic. Fireplace with bressumer but
fireplace rebuilt in C20. Bread oven projection in right wall of kitchen.
2- and 3-light casements at rear.
