Manor house. Mainly C18 incorporating earlier structure. Courted random
rubble. Stone slate roof. 2 stone ridge stacks. H-plan. Main front: 4-
window range. Central 2-unit bay flanked by gabled wings. Central bay:
Single storey plus attic. Panelled door to right has overlight. One window
to left of door. 2 gabled half-dormers to attic. Wings: 2 storeys plus
attic. Wooden mullioned and transoned windows throughtout. South wing garden
front: wide 6-panelled central door has moulded wood surround and heavy flat
C20 stone hood supported on stone corbels. 3-window range. Wooden mullioned
and transomed windows throughout. 3 attic dormers: segmental pediment to
centre, others triangular pedimented. Rear: Pointed window to staircase;
and 2- and 3-light casements and wooden mullioned and transomed windows. North
wing: 4 window range with central recessed door, 6-panelled with 2 glass
lights, moulded wood surround and flat hood. Interior: Hall flanked by wings.
Cellar to left wing reached by stone spiral stair. Chamfered beams and
bressumer to hall. Wing to right has thick walls; panelling and shutters to
parlour; cellar to rear room. C20 range to rear of hall. C18 staircase.
