Chest tomb dated 1682 approx. 1m. E of chancel of Church of St. Michael

Chest tomb. C17. Ironstone. Boldly carved with floral decoration surrounding
central wreath containing inscription: Here lyeth the body of John Nicholls Gent
who deceased the 15 of December 1682 aged 63. Moulded, chamfered ledger slab.
Ends have boldly carved wreath, and an angel flanked by drapes above crossed
bones.
