Farmhouse now house. C17, remodelled in C18 and C20. Regular coursed ironstone
rubble. Ironstone quoins. C20 tile roof. 3 brick stacks to ends and off ridge
two on stone bases. 3-unit plan. Single storey plus attic. Entrance to right has
wooden lintel and panelled door. Two 3-light C20 casements to left and right of
door have stone lintels on stone flat arches. Three 2-light casements to attic
have wooden lintels. Rear: Rebuilt part to left has C20 extension. Right part
has circular staircase projection with small windows, one with a cusped
triangular head; 2 light casement to left has wrought iron catch. C20 door and
window to right and to attic. Steep roof pitch. Interior: retains original plan
of kitchen, hall and parlour; 3 rooms linked by rear passage. Two rooms to left
have stone flag floors. Central room has stop chamfered beam, chamfered
bressumer to fireplace with inglenooks, and ham curing chamber. Stone spiral
stair to cellar which has a 2-light stone mullioned window to rear. Oak spiral
stair to attic floors partially rebuilt in C20. Wide planks to first floor.
