Five houses forming a row standing on a raised terrace set back from the main
road. Mid C19. Stucco fronted, slate roofs, brick end and ridge stacks. 2
storeys throughout; 15-window range altogether. No.41 has a pedimented porch;
panelled door with overlight; panelled reveals. 2-storey projecting extension to
left with sashes with horns; first floor has sashes with glazing bars. Flanking
pilasters to right. No.43 has a Tuscan doorcase; renewed door; panelled reveals
and overlight; canted bay windows with horns; sashes to first floor with horns
and stepped voussoirs. Flanking pilasters. No.45 has a central entrance with
stone cased surround; 4-panelled door with overlight; sashes with glazing bars
and stone surrounds; 3 similar first floor windows; gable fronted full dormer
with stone cased sash. No.49 has a stone porch; 4-panelled door with overlight
and panelled reveals; entrance flanked by sashes with glazing bars and stone
surrounds; 3 similar first floor windows; 2 pilasters to right through both
floors. Nos.45 to 49 have 12-pane sashes. Interiors not inspected.
