Rose Cottage is marked on O.S. map as Corner Cottage.
Two houses. Early to mid C17 with C20 alterations. Coursed squared ironstone.
Woodview has C20-tile roof, Rose Cottage a thatched roof. Renewed brick ridge
and end stacks. 4-unit plan altogether, 2-unit plan each. 2 storeys. 4-window
range altogether. Woodview on left. Gabled 2-storey C20 porch extension on left
and C20 windows to both ground floor and first floor on right of entrance.
Interior said to have inglenook fireplaces and beams, and wall abutting Sundial
Farmhouse on left a blocked window on interior suggesting an earlier exterior
wall. Rose Cottage has a plank door with moulded wood frame, strap hinges and
wood lintel. C20 bow window to right with wood lintel. First floor has two C20
windows, interior has an inglenook fireplace with bressumer. Included for group
value.
