9/251 Heathcote Farmhouse
Farmhouse now house. Early to mid C17 with later alterations and additions.
Coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched slate roof. Rendered stone ridge
stacks with brick shafts. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. 2-window range. Entrance to
rear. Elevation facing road has a blocked doorway, 2- and 3-light C20 casements
with stop-chamfered wood lintels and a bow window on right, previously to shop.
Two renewed 2-light attic windows. Ironstone quoins, interior has stop-chamfered
beams and stop-chamfered joists, an inglenook fireplace with bressumer and
circular recess for bread oven and straight flight stair with winder.
