House. RCHM 192. A 4-storeyed mid C18 stuccoed timber-framed front with
an oversailing. The ground floor in front has reproduction early C19 shop
front and an early C19 doorframe. The 3-sided bays are carried up the whole
height of the house and there is a moulded cornice and parapet surmounting
them; there are C18 sash windows on each, with glazing bars. The house was
completely rebuilt behind the street frontage in recent years. The modern
slate mansard roof is visible from the street.

Nos 48 to 53 (consec) form a group with Trinity and Balliol Colleges.
